The ability of teams to deliver to schedule was unpredictable and somewhat ineffective. Pioneered and championed software productivity metrics and defect/change tracking development and adoption. The defect/change tracking metrics uncovered critical problem areas and facilitated the identification of common patterns. Actions taken as a result of the analysis of the metrics, delivered a defect rate reduction of 20% and a defect resolution rejection rate reduction of 50%. The combination of metrics provided insight to the development status that better predicted an estimated completion date, allowing early detection of schedule divergence permitting corrective measures to be employed when necessary.
